BsonLite ↗
CurrentFounder & Software Engineer
— PresentIndependent product development
Building BsonLite from the database layer to the tools developers use: a portable database, a Node.js SDK, and a desktop workspace with a terminal CLI.
Engineering & responsibilities
- Database architecture
Integrated and packaged a native engine with encrypted storage, authenticated connections, TLS, and reliable startup and shutdown.
- SDK & npm distribution
Built the collection API, single-file distribution, CommonJS and ESM entry points, package verification, and matching source and notices.
- Automatic connections
Designed private per-account discovery and token-protected loopback endpoints, so Console can find running apps without a project-folder picker.
- Desktop & terminal tools
Built the Electron collection explorer, document editor, filtering, indexes, export, and BSON-aware query handling for the GUI and CLI.
- Access & isolation
Implemented read-only client defaults, explicit write controls, bounded queries, validated IPC, and an isolated Electron renderer.
- Verification & releases
Maintain Windows builds, packed-SDK and CLI integration checks, checksums, documentation, release downloads, and the BsonLite website.
